Querying Data

To retrieve data from the jsonverse database, you can use the find() method. This method allows you to search for records based on a query. Here’s how to use it:

1. Basic Query:

You can retrieve data by specifying a query that filters the records you want to fetch. Here’s an example:

const jsonverse = require("jsonverse");

// Replace "yourDataName" with the name of your data
const dataName = "yourDataName";

// Define a query to filter the data you want to retrieve
const query = { field: "value" };

jsonverse.find(dataName, query)
  .then((result) => {
    console.log("Matching data:", result);
  })
  .catch((error) => {
    console.error("Error querying data:", error);
  });

Replace “yourDataName” with the actual data name, customize the query to match your criteria, and retrieve the matching data.

2. Query by ID:

If you know the unique ID of the record you want to retrieve, you can use the following code:

const jsonverse = require("jsonverse");

// Replace "yourDataName" with the name of your data
const dataName = "yourDataName";

// Replace "yourIDToFind" with the ID of the data you want to retrieve
const idToFind = "yourIDToFind";

jsonverse.findByID(dataName, idToFind)

Make sure to replace “yourDataName” and “yourIDToFind” with your actual data name and the ID of the record you want to retrieve.

3. Query All Data:

To retrieve all data within a specific data name, you can use the following code:

// Replace "yourDataName" with the name of your data
const dataName = "yourDataName";

jsonverse.allData(dataName)
  .then((result) => {
    console.log("All data:", result);
  })
  .catch((error) => {
    console.error("Error querying data:", error);
  });

Be cautious when using this method, as it will retrieve all records within the specified data name.

Remember to replace “yourDataName,” “yourIDToFind,” and other placeholders with your actual data names, IDs, queries, and criteria.
